In keeping with my other eclectic tastes, Ilisten to a fairly broad spectrum of music, including the above band thattechnically falls into the Metal category, but in actuality is more hard rockthan anything else, I think. Josey Scott, the lead singer, has an amazing voice, and he is quite the lyricist.

The above song is haunting and sad, full ofstrange (very Diane Arbus) imagery and isolation. I like this lyric because itreminds me that despite appearances to the contrary, most people don’t meanharm. They don’t mean to do and say the things they do, which leave suchbruises and scars on those around them. They just live their lives and thinkthey are doing right by themselves and others, when in fact they often leavescorched earth and heartbreak in their wakes.

I hope I’m never that oblivious to thecarnage I leave behind.
