"Science is not a threat to a moral world." Lawrence Krauss

"If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail." For me personally, I'd like to have more than just one tool in my tool box.

And an interesting posit, also from Dr. Krauss: Let's say the avian flu jumped species, and people began dying of it. Would we pray for a cure, or would we consult science for a response? This clearly illustrates to me the juxtaposition of real needs vs. spiritual ones. We might pray about the avian flu, but for solutions ... for actual answers ... the vast majority of us would look to science for help.
